BTS SIO (Services Informatiques aux Organisations) is France's reference Bac+2 IT programme, splitting in year two into SISR (Infrastructure, Systems and Networks) and SLAM (Software Solutions and Business Applications). Year-one common core covers IT support and ITIL, programming and SQL, web fundamentals, cybersecurity (CIA triad, OWASP, GDPR) and the cross-cutting CEJM block. SISR specialty deepens networking (OSI, TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS/DHCP/NAT, firewalls), Linux/Windows Server administration, virtualisation and defensive security. SLAM specialty deepens object-oriented programming, web frontend/backend, databases (relational + NoSQL intro), Git workflow, agile/scrum and CI/CD.
