Our Commitment
EduFiche is fully committed to respecting intellectual property and copyright. Our mission is to facilitate access to learning and knowledge sharing, while protecting the rights of content creators.
This policy defines our approach to copyright protection, user responsibilities, and reporting procedures in case of infringement.
Protected Content and Authorized Use
Types of protected content
All types of intellectual content, including but not limited to:
- Academic documents and course notes
- Textbooks and school books
- Scientific and research articles
- Educational images, graphics, and illustrations
- Videos, audio recordings, and presentations
Authorized uses
In an educational context, certain uses may be considered legitimate according to the principles of fair use or educational exception, particularly:
- Creating personal revision cards based on courses in which the user is enrolled
- Sharing limited excerpts for illustration, commentary, or criticism purposes
- Use for strictly personal study purposes
⚠️ Important
The educational exception does not cover sharing complete protected works without authorization. In case of doubt, contact us before publishing content.
User Responsibilities
By using EduFiche, you accept the following responsibilities:
- Rights verification: Before uploading or sharing a document, ensure you have the necessary rights or that your use complies with legal exceptions (educational use, citation, etc.).
- Mention of sources: Systematically cite the sources of shared content, including authors, publishers, and other right holders.
- Limitation of scope: Prefer sharing excerpts or summaries rather than complete works when it comes to protected content.
- Respect for restrictions: Some documents may have specific usage restrictions (academic licenses, institutional access), which must be respected.
⛔ Strictly forbidden content
- Complete or substantially reproduced textbooks
- Paid academic documents obtained without appropriate license
- Content explicitly marked as not redistributable
- Pirated content or obtained by illegal means
Users who do not respect these principles are subject to removal of the concerned content and, in case of repeated violations, to suspension or deletion of their account.
