The French BTS Communication is a two-year vocational programme training junior account managers and account planners. The official syllabus splits across four professional units: communication cultures (semiotics, advertising history, Jakobson's communication model), communication project (E4 — written case study), advertiser relationship and consulting (E5 — oral), and operational monitoring (E6 — dossier). Beyond the framework, students must master the SWOT analysis, the communication mix (advertising, PR, sales promotion, direct marketing, off-media), media planning indicators (GRP, CPM, reach, OTS), and digital KPIs (CTR, conversion rate, CAC, LTV, ROAS).
