The French Première SES specialty combines economics, sociology and political science. Five economics chapters: how competitive and imperfect markets work, money creation, financing of economic agents, foundations of international trade. Three sociology chapters: how social bonds form and evolve, how public opinion is shaped, how deviance is socially produced. One cross-chapter on insurance and social protection. The exam (4h) offers either a structured paper (knowledge mobilization, document analysis, reasoning) or a full dissertation. Master 6-8 mechanisms (supply-demand, money creation, comparative advantage) and key authors (Smith, Ricardo, Keynes, Durkheim, Weber, Bourdieu, Becker).
