A useful SES revision sheet links a concept to a mechanism and an example. A list of definitions is not enough to explain how a situation changes or to build an argued answer. Start from the chapter question, then organize the sheet around what you need to prove.
Identify what the course expects
Copy the main question, the concepts requested, and the skills worked on in class. Separate what you need to define, explain, and illustrate.
The September 2026 official bulletin on exams includes the texts governing special-subject exams. Check which one applies to your session. For your sheet, the syllabus and your teacher’s instructions are the references.
Do not infer expectations from a summary found online. It may cover another level or use examples that do not match your course.
Build a chain of reasoning
Use a structure: starting situation, mechanism, result, condition or limit. Each arrow should be explainable in a sentence.
Pedagogical form example: “If situation X changes, the actors modify Y; this can lead to Z, under condition W.” Replace these letters with the exact elements studied. This model is not an economic explanation ready to learn by heart.
An arrow without a sentence often hides a missing step. If you cannot explain it, leave a question to fill in before memorizing the sheet.
Choose a traceable example
Keep one course example and state what it illustrates. For a data point, note the indicator, year, scope, and source. A figure without these details cannot be used correctly.
If you add a recent example, open its original source. Do not invent a statistic to make the sheet more convincing. A fictional situation can illustrate a piece of reasoning, as long as you say so.
For a sheet created with AI, these checks are essential: the CNIL describes the risk of plausible but inaccurate information.
Test yourself with a short answer
Close the sheet and answer the chapter question with a definition, a mechanism, and an example. Then compare it with the course.
If you know the words but cannot connect them, rework the transitions. If your example proves nothing, clarify the link between the situation and the mechanism.
You can use EduFiche quizzes for the concepts, then write an argued answer yourself. A definition score does not automatically validate the quality of the argument.
Keep a compact, editable sheet
The AI revision sheet can suggest a structure from the material. Check the logical links and the data before using it.
To avoid piling up sheets, make this task part of your weekly routine.
For your next chapter, write one chain of reasoning and explain it out loud. Add the example only once each step is clear.
